 FINAL - “Say it once, say it again” Taking inspiration from the crafted flowers Joy passed out, I decided to add my own twist on the concept and shift it into a performance piece. I crafted a total of sixteen paper flowers to be given out during my presentation, which I will allow people to grab on their own, choosing whichever they like. Afterwards, I’ll invite them to a minute or two of considering their struggles during finals week and how they feel now that they’re almost done with the semester - This is a project consisting of mostly playfulness, with a moment given for consideration. I painted strips of thick paper with a mix of acrylic and water, then using textured scissors to cut into strips and glue around twigs to give the appearance of a 3D flower.  This project has been the most time-consuming one yet, second to my three perspectives video.  Three perspectives video - second to final project. Email me or look through canvas submissions to view video. This piece centers itself around me, and confronting my own identity. It also serves as a brief presentation of my art done for the ritual and installation project.  I narrate a six-minute video of myself picking through my journey and discovery of purpose completed through my art, paired with external perspectives of myself through video-game montage and more serious undertones of self-reflection.
